Samsung has teamed up with Microsoft® to aid businesses like yours in delivering the latest in touch-screen display technology to customers. Meet the Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft. It presents your brand and business in a way that completely changes the way we talk to customers
Samsung’s SUR40 for Microsoft Surface merges Samsung’s touch technology built into its LCD panel with Microsoft’s capability of touch and object recognition to create a unique Sensors-in-Pixel (SIP) technology that will revolutionize the touchscreen industry.
SUR40 is next generation of surfaces consisting of large LCD screen that can “see”. This screen can “see” not just the tips of your fingers but your entire hand with multiple people using it together as well as objects that you put on the screen. It is powered by Samsung’s PixelSense technology. PixelSense actually captures these images over millions of infrared sensors in the LCD display, which recognize, processes and interpret these pictures and passes it to the appropriate application.
With 50 simultaneous touch points, multiple people can be working simultaneously on SUR40. Objects such as Red Bull cans, coffee mugs, cameras, mobiles and even paper can be placed on top of the surface and each can start up its own relevant application.
The 40-inch HD SUR40 panel with a thickness of just 4-inches is made of Corning Gorilla Glass toughened to withstand extensive handling along with a few coffee spills. With a 1080p, 16:9, 1920 x 1080 display you get amazing clarity and brightness. It can be kept on a flat surface or hung up on a wall depending on its usage.
SUR40 is powered by embedded AMD Athon Dual-Core 2.9GHz processor along with AMD HD6750M GPU with DirectX 11 giving you substantial processing horsepower and outstanding graphics capability.
With great scope for commercial usage, Samsung and Microsoft see their SUR40 being used in practically any industry that requires interacting with people from healthcare, hospitality, education, retail and manufacture.
