AC100 is Toshiba’s first Mobile Internet Device now upgraded to Android 2.2 platform powered by 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra processor. AC100 is sleek and lightweight yet is perfect for heavy content processing. Having instant start-up time of less than a minute, full-size keyboard and long battery life, it can be used anywhere and anytime.
Its ultra light weight of 870 gms and slender stylish looks with just 14mm at its thinnest point makes it easy to put into any bag and carry around. A 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display screen with Toshiba Clear SuperView technology displays your content perfectly. The upgraded Toshiba AC100 has its own Toshiba Market.
It has a 512Mb RAM with 16GB storage. For Internet connectivity it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. 2 USB Ports and HDMI help you connect to other devices. It also supports a 1.3MP webcam and stereo speakers for video chat.
Some of the default apps available are Opera Mobile 10, Toshiba Media Player, Default Browser, Toshiba file Manager, SingleClick Connect, Email client, sound recorder and others. With the OS upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo, AC100 should show better performance.
With a drop in prices, upgraded Toshiba AC100′s Wi-Fi version is available for $275 while the 3G version may cost a little more.
