Get Your Own 3D Printer!

Although the printer itself looks like an early prototype for a microwave oven or some kind of toaster, there’s presumably some state-of-the-art technology hiding behind that, not overly attractive, exterior. If you put in a little something along with some plastic, balsa wood and wax it will “print” out a replica in 3D for you–and we’re not talking about the kind of 3D that requires active-shutter glasses to view, but actual three-dimensional stuff. In other words you should be able to set up a little operation cloning rare Star Wars figurines and start selling them for boatloads of cash. Maybe.
The Roland Imodela IM-01 is connected via USB and is not much bigger than your average desktop PC and the price tag is just 1000 dollars, which is considerably less than any other products of its kind usually sell for.

Check out the video below and start fantasizing about what you could do with one of these things:

iPhone Apps:
The iPhone is amongst one of the most famous smart phones developed to date. The first iPhone was launched in to the market in 2007 by late formerCEOof Apple Inc. Steve Jobs. That phone called the ‘iPhone 2G’ was a big success in the market and since there has been a line of iPhone models each topping its predecessor in terms of not only software but also in looks. One of the main reasons for the iPhone being such a big hit amongst its wonderful touch experience and handsome look is the large variety of applications available on the iTunes app store. These applications vary from highly graphical games that are not only fun to play but also enhance your iPhone experience as well as are very useful applications. Some of these useful applications are as follows:

Honda’s Micro Commuter concept car can be controlled with a smartphone

I’ve been seeing some nifty concept cars lately, like Toyota’s Fun-Vii. I’m not certain whether or not Honda can beat a car with touchscreen displays on the inside and outside, but the Honda Micro Commuter concept car could be it.
The Honda Micro Commuter does have interchangeable panels that insert in the front and sides that allow users to customize how their cars look with a 2D graphic pattern. Another killer feature is that it allows users to control the car’s various functions remotely via smartphone.

My Source does not reveal what functions are controllable with a smartphone, but I’m guessing that one can’t drive the car from the cell phone. I think James Bond had one of those in Tomorrow Never Dies. What is the legality of a full-sized remote control car?
Just to let you know, this car has a room for three. There is a driver that controls the car with two joystick-like levers, and two passengers can sit in the back. I like how the fenders practically cover the tires, and I love how the tires are white.
Yes, this is a concept car that was revealed this week at the Tokyo Motor Show, and it is probably not going to be hitting the road anytime soon.

The Pelican 1075 HardBack Case

For those who are looking for some extra protection for the iPad, tablet PC, netbook, or other smaller laptop, then you might want to check out the Pelican 1075 HardBack Cases.

The 1075 model is dustproof, watertight, as well as crushproof. It has been tested for impact and submersion to three feet, and it has an easy-open latch as well as a built-in automatic purge valve to keep water and dust out while balancing air pressure.
It also has a molded liner which is designed to add impact shock protection and not scratch the tablet. There is enough room underneath your device in the 1075 for some accessories like an adapter, cables, or earbuds.
In short, you can afford to put your small PC into a case for “your office on the go”. It even comes with a strap so you can sling it around your shoulder. You don’t have to worry about banging against wall or door with your gear in this box.
I found a lot of models of the Pelican 1075 with foam or computer liner, and the i1075 comes with an iPad Insert. The price is about $59.95 on Amazon, and you might want to look at some similar Hardback cases on the Pelican site like the 1085 and the 1095.

Panasonic Android Phones to Debut in Europe

Panasonic has decided to sell Android cell phones in Europe as it contemplates on outsourcing of the production of Android phones to some other company or make it in its domestic plants, in South East Asia.
Soon it may begin to operate its Android cell phone market chain in the US too. Nikkei, a renowned business publication in Japan have reported that if all goes well, Panasonic will sell in Asia and North America.

The Japanese Market Realities:
This revelation has come at a time when Japanese cell phone market has seen colossal reorganization. The cell phone market has consolidated after the number of companies has dropped to five from thirteen. After the iPhone, gadgets had burst into the scene, everything changed quickly, and the Japanese market has shrunk and stabilized. This had led to global marketing of Japanese companies but, most of them did not fare well.
Panasonic to Reverse the Trend:
It is now the turn of Panasonic to go global and make inroads into the global market dominated by well set players for a long time. The biggest business publication in Japan, the Nikkei, has recently reported that the company is on the verge of signing a deal with a European telecommunication utmost to bring out smartphones with the Android OS into Europe.
Panasonic has been hugely successful in the Android market selling smartphones like hot cakes in the domestic, Japanese market. Take for instance the Panasonic LUMIX 101P Android gadget. It features Android 2.3 Gingerbread with exclusive features like digital TV tuner and 13.2 MP CMOS LUMIX sensors. Last year the company had sold 4.4 million Android phones in Japan. So going by its international dreams, Panasonic has set a target of selling about 7.5 million units every year internationally by 2015.

Droid 4 official pics and RAZR-with-keyboard confirming specs leak out Motorola Droid 4 Adds A Keyboard to Razr DROID 4 accessories leaked: lapdocks, HD docks and wireless keyboard with trackpad Android Soft Keyboard Alternatives: Comparing 47 different (free) input methods from ABC Keyboard to ZetaType for Droid

How it looks if you take the Droid Razr design and add a slide-out QWERTY keyboard? Meet the Motorola Droid 4, the latest recruit in the Android army, breaking cover this weekend via leaked photos from Droid Life. There’s no official confirmation of this phone yet, which is expected to arrive on Verizon’s 4G LTE network on December 8.

The purported leaked specs show that the Droid 4 would match many the specs of the Droid Razr, with 4G LTE connectivity, 1GB of RAM, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and an 8-megapizel camera with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization. There’s also a front-facing camera for video chat for the successor of the Droid 3, launched just six months ago.
The Droid 4 also borrows a few of the design traits of the Razr, with the same water-repellent coating to protect against spills, and the Gorilla Glass display. The Droid 4 display however, is smaller than on the Razr – 4 inches on the Droid 4 versus 4.3 inches on the Razr. The screen technology is different too: the Droid 4 uses the same qHD display technology as the Droid 3, while the Razr has a Super AMOLED display.
The slide-out QWERTY keyboard on the Droid 4 received a face-lift as well. The 5-row keyboard (with dedicated numbers row) uses edge backlighting, and if you invested in one of Motorola’s Lapdocks (100, 500 Pro), you’ll be happy to hear the Droid 4 is compatible with them. Dedicated accessories will also include an HD Dock and Station, an in-car navigation dock or a wireless keyboard with attached trackpad.
Previous leaks of the Droid 4 indicate the device will also feature a microSD card slot under the back cover, as well as microUSB and microHDMI connectors on the bottom right side. Until Motorola officially announced the phone, pricing for the device is yet unknown, but chances are it would cost $300 with a two-year contract, as most of Verizon’s 4G high-end devices.

Fujitsu Arrows F-07D is now the world's thinnest smartphone Fujitsu Unveils Arrows F-07D Slimmest Smartphone Fujitsu Arrows F-07D Hits FCC, Challenges DROID RAZR as World’s Thinnest Phone Fujitsu Arrows F-07D measures 0.26" at the FCC, crowned world’s thinnest smartphone Fujitsu Arrows F-07D Android Just Over Quarter-Inch Thick Fujitsu Arrows F-07D nabs 'thinnest smartphone' title, Droid Razr retorts: 'real phones have (some) curves

Many devices have been competing to become the world’s thinnest device ever. There has however been very little competition to the Motorolla Droid Razer up till now. But recently the Fujitsu Arrows F-07D has emerged as the secretive winner.

The Smartphone is now entitled as the worlds thinnest Android handset that measures a minimal of 6.7mm. Fujitsu has emerged as a clear winner with flying colours. It is one the thinnest of all in the line. A whooping 0.26 inches is what makes the device so desirable. The Japanese however were not very happy with the claims set forth by Razer. The F-07D too has some bulging points at its side. The device has the 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor that equips the device very well. The device ships the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS that lets you work very well with the applications and powers the device to the fullest. Along with this, there is 1GB of internal memory space and a 512 MB RAM giving you ample to cherish for. The body is a waterproof one that features an OLED screen with resolution is 480 x 854p and it will definitely get you on the run with the videos and playback. Along with being a waterproof device, the screen is fully protected by the Gorilla Glass. The device is not only thin to look at. As said very well, big things come in small packages. The shooter of the Smarty is embedded on the rear. It is a whooping 5MP camera that will get you in the fun mood always. The handset also has the HDMI and the microUSB ports to connect well with the others. Having all this information, the price part is still unknown. This will however be revealed soon to the inquisitive users. The price will certainly not fall in the range of Razer but might be somewhere in the mid range. The handset will definitely please the Japanese obsessed users who have committed themselves to use those products. For the others too it will act as a complete set of entertainment and the privilege of having the thinnest device in the world to ones possession.

Windows 8 developer on First HTC touch based phone: learn how to install it

Microsoft has just launched the windows 8 version on the HTC smartphone. HTC shift was the first touch screen phone developed with the collaboration with Microsoft.

It served all the purposes of a PC with an Intel A110 Stanley CPU that had a speed of 800 MHz with the advent of this phone in 2008; it became the talk of the town with business houses reaping its benefits. It had software that was competent enough to hold windows 7. But with the advent of windows 8, Microsoft has added it to HTC smart phones to give it a new version.
Installation of windows 8
To install windows 8, you will have to clear all of your drives and do a clear installation. Getting help from Vista will be too complicated, so we will ignore it. Excluding the USB stick make sure all the other external storage gadgets have been removed. Start by enabling your Wi-Fi connection via the control panel found in the Vista. The capacity of the USB stick should be more than 8GB, and your computer must run with the normal windows. In Linux or OS, the steps will have slight variations. Clean out the phone and install windows 8 developer preview. Then manually apply all drives.
Worst case scenario
It is extremely common to experience problems while doing the above application. In case you fail, you will have to use Our Procedure to create a bootable Windows 8 USB stick. Then open the USB and create a folder called Drivers and in the newly created folder copy Intel GMA drives and Windows Mobile Device Centre. Download the archive that appears on your desktop.
Make sure that you have a backup for all of your data before beginning.

What Siri is Saying: Brand New Blog Competition

A new blog has recently launched, titled What Siri is Saying. This blog collects the funniest responses to questions asked to the iPhone 4S Siri system. Siri is a voice operated personal assistant who you can ask all sort of questions, or can perform an action on your handset, such as setting an alarm. This blog is dedicated to all of the humorous answers that the system comes up with to your questions.
Here are the examples shown in blog by iphone users:

The site is set up so that users can upload their own contributions, vote for their favourites and comment on other people’s submissions. There’s also a leader board that shows the entries that have received the most votes.

They’re offering the winner £100 worth of Amazon vouchers to the winner, so pretty handy for the festive season! All you need to do, is put forward your Siri submission, and get as many votes as possible, so that you’re at the top of the leader board by Friday 2nd December at 13.00 GMT.
What’s more, you don’t even need an iPhone 4S to enter- you can tweet the guys @WhatSiriisSaying or post on their Facebook wall and they can ask Siri for you to get your response. If it’s good enough, they’ll put it up on the site and then you can get the voting underway!
If you want to find out more about the competition, then visit their website, or even if you don’t want to apply, then just take a look. The entries are sure to provide a chuckle or two during your day!

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet hitting the market!

Rockchip lays down the claim to the first Android 4.0-powered tablet in the world, although I am not quite sure whether anyone else has beaten them to the punch or not. Named as the Android 4.0 PAD, this tablet will be powered by Rockchip’s RK2918 processor, running on Ice Cream Sandwich OS to boot. Apart from that, it seems as though the RK2918 processor has started to gain traction in the domestic tablet manufacturing industry, not to mention with several other overseas ODMs. This translates to us potentially viewing more and more brands that will have the Android 4.0 operating system running within, so it is only a matter of time before we see such puppies hit the market. Who else do you think will follow suit with a Rockchip processor inside?
