HTC Rhyme Price in India, mid range Android phone review, feature and specifications


HTC had introduced another smartphone into the market expanding its smartphone range by launching yet another mobile phone called HTC Rhyme,which runs on the Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) operating system, presently run on most of the major smartphones released recently and is available for a price of Rs 24,800 in the Indian market. The device is targeted at the mid-range price segment of the market. The mobile phone has a 3.7 inch S-LCD with capacitive touchscreen display (480×800 pixel resolution) and is powered by a 1GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset and has 768MB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 4GB with an expansion slot of an additional 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The device has a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash that can also record high definition (HD) videos (720p) and a front facing VGA camera. For connectivity, the device is with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G and comes with a microUSB 2.0 port. It also supports DLNA which enables file sharing between other DLNA devices like TVs. 
 The device also has a stereo FM radio with RDS and comes with GPS with A-GPS support. Additionally, it has a 1600mAh battery that the company claims will provide the user with 10 and a half hour of talk time and 295 hours of stand-by time (on GSM networks). The dimensions of the device are 119mm x 60.8mm x 10.85mm and it weighs 130 grams. Consumers will have a choice between various colours like Sea Glass, Bliss among others. HTC Rhyme’s competitors in the Indian market include HTC’s own Incredible S (Rs 24,350), HTC Radar (Rs 23,990), Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001 (Rs 22,500), LG Optimus 2X P990 (Rs 25,450) and Sony Ericsson Xperia arc (Rs 24,990).
